Custom fabrication

Bay five has
built stranger things
than yours.

A dog bath, a maple evaporator pre-heater, a mobile beer-line flush cart, forty linked flood barriers for a township. If you can describe it, we have probably already cut a tote in that shape.

Capabilities

What the bay can actually do

Fabrication on HDPE is a different craft from fabrication on steel. Both happen here, which is why we can modify the bottle and the cage in one job.

OperationOn the bottleOn the cageTypical use
CuttingClean cuts, radiused corners, cut-and-invertTube cutting and re-weldingGrow beds, planters, wash stations
WeldingHot-air and extrusion welding of HDPEMIG on the steel frameBaffles, sealed lids, custom frames
Bulkheads & portsDrilled and sealed bulkhead fittings, any thread—Drains, standpipes, overflow, dosing

How to brief us

Six answers and we can quote it

You do not need a drawing. You need to answer these.

  • What goes in it? Edible, potable, chemical or just water — this chooses the donor grade.
  • How much, and how fast out? Outlet size follows flow, not habit.
  • Indoors or outdoors? Outdoors means UV cover, screens and a freeze plan.
  • Gravity or pumped? Gravity needs height; height needs a stand we can build.
  • Who moves it? Forklift, pallet jack, two people and a hand truck — it changes the base.
  • How many? One is a project. Ten is a production run and much cheaper per unit.
Recent one-offs
  • Forty linked flood barriers with strap plates for a township crew
  • A two-stage maple sap pre-heater for a 900-tap operation
  • Mobile beer-line flush cart with a pump, hose reel and catch tray
  • Calf waterers with a frost-protected float valve and a drain
  • A cut-and-framed dog wash for a grooming business
  • Dosing rig with a calibrated level gauge for a greenhouse
What we decline
  • Pressure vessels — HDPE totes are not and cannot be made pressure rated
  • Modifications to UN-marked packaging that would invalidate the marking
  • Potable builds on anything but food-grade or new bottles
  • Immersion heating elements inside a bottle

Describe it in the message box.

One paragraph is plenty. We quote custom fabrication the same day, and we will tell you if a standing build already does the job cheaper.
