Privacy notice

What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site: first and last name, email address, phone number, city, state or province, postal code, company, quantity, product type, service requested, grade, your message, and the URL of the page you submitted from. Nothing is collected passively beyond what is described under “logs” below.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry and to quote, invoice and deliver the goods or services you asked about. The phone number is collected because freight carriers routinely need a contact number for delivery, not so that we can call you — we do not operate outbound calling.
Who processes it
- IBC Recycle, at 11966 Brookfield St, Livonia, MI 48150, as the controller of the data.
- Our lead-capture provider, which stores form submissions on our behalf so that enquiries are not lost in an inbox. Submissions are transmitted from our server over TLS; our API credentials are never exposed in the browser.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and serves this website and processes request metadata in the normal course of serving pages.
- PostHog, which provides our product analytics. It records page views, clicks, scroll depth, referrer, approximate location derived from IP, and device information, so that we can see which pages are useful. Traffic is routed through our own proxy domain rather than directly to a third-party host, and we do not create identified person profiles for anonymous visitors.
We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertising networks. There are no third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
Cookies and analytics
We run PostHog product analytics, which sets a first-party cookie to recognise a returning browser and measure which pages are read. We use it to see what is useful and what is ignored — nothing more. We also record one custom event, contact_form_submitted, when a form is sent successfully, so that we know which page produced an enquiry.
What we do not run: advertising networks, retargeting pixels, cross-site identifiers, data brokers, or any tracker that follows you off this site. If that ever changes we will say so on this page before it does, not after. Browser do-not-track and global privacy control signals are respected, and blocking the analytics domain does not break anything on this site.
Logs
Our host retains ordinary server request logs — IP address, timestamp, requested path, user agent — for operational security and abuse prevention. These are retained for a short rolling window and are not used to build a profile of you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become orders: 24 months, then deleted. Enquiries that become orders: retained for the period required for tax, warranty and compliance purposes, typically seven years, because a grade sheet and wash record need to outlive the sale.
Your choices
Email sales@ibc-recycle.com and ask us to send you a copy of what we hold, correct it, or delete it. We will do so within thirty days. If you are a resident of a jurisdiction with specific data rights, those rights apply and we will honour them regardless of where you live — it is simpler to treat everyone the same way.
Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are processed server-side; API keys and credentials are held as server-side environment secrets and are never present in any page delivered to your browser.
Children
This is a business-to-business industrial supply site. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
